Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style that combines R&B with soul, gospel music and R&B. Her career path has taken her from Broadway to European festivals and clubs and even to her participation in the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. She is originally from Chester Pennsylvania, where she started her musical career by singing and playing the piano in church. She was a student at Spellman College in Atlanta where she began her training within the city's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single featuring her voice was Stalk You A house 12 released exclusively in Japan It was later remixed by numerous producers and is an essential part of her live set. The Fighting Temptations was the second soundtrack that she sang on. In 2005, she became the pianist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy and Tony Award winning vocalist who was part of the stage production Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, approached her about being the choir leader of the production. Sunshine rose to prominence throughout the four performances of 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later invited to sing at Barack Obama's 2009 Inauguration.
