Winona-Ryder
Winona Laura Horowitz, professionally referred to as Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter the city she grew up in after her birthplace. The father of her Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's parents are both Jewish. Ryder believes herself to be Jewish. The actress has a younger brother Uria and two half-siblings Jubal as well as Sunyata. Ryder was born in the United States and moved with her family to Mendocino County California at the age of seven. The family didn't have electricity. Ryder was an avid bookworm and would spend her days reading books because there was no television. Ryder took acting classes at the age of Ryder was twelve years old, at the American Conservatory Theatre. Lucas was released in 1986, and Ryder who was only 15, landed a role as a leading actress. Ryder endured bullying while in highschool. Her hope was that acting could bring change. It didn't turn out. However, she continued to pursue her dreams. Her breakthrough was in 1988 when she appeared in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder was able to continue her successful parts in a variety of films. She received nominations for two Academy Awards one for her part as a character in The Age of Innocence (1993).
