John Denver, a singer-songwriter of Colorado who specialized in folk music, inspired millions of people. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. grew up in Roswell new Mexico, but was enthralled by Colorado. He later made his way to Aspen. Denver's state anthems are a source of inspiration for people to travel to Colorado. I don't think there's another performer that embodies Colorado as well as John Denver said G. Brown director of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. Denver was the one of the first Hall of Fame inductee in 2011. For many, Denver is the Colorado image. When I travel, you may meet people at opposite sides of the globe. As an example, you might meet people who is from New Zealand. And when someone asks you if you're Colorado-based, Colorado people will respond with "Oh John Denver!" Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads was co-written by Bill Danoff and Denver after his brief career in folk groups and was his debut Top 10 solo hit. Danoff composed the track with the inspiration of Johnny Cash, but Denver was able to hear an early version of the song and realized it would become an instant hit in the top 10. Danoff recorded the track just a few days later when he performed it in front of the awe-inspiring crowd in Washington D.C.
